Days before the BIG DAY!

These are a bunch of random pictures taken days leading up to Kelly being married. Chris, Seth and I drove down to Salt Lake City on the Sunday before. We were orignialy going to leave on Monday but after hearing about a bad storm coming our way decided to leave a day early and it's a real good thing we did because this storm was a doozy! We had 4 days with Kelly before she became a Mrs. on Friday March 8, 2013!

MONDAY
On Monday the three of us went to see her new "apartment" (a converted garage) and because Kelly is going to school to be a Medical Assistant she needs to practice taking peoples blood pressure so here she is taking Chris's. The picture of me is down at the end of this post (it got mixed up when I was downloading the pictures).

After getting the A-Okay on our medical status we went to eat at FireHouse Subs. It blows Subway out of the water! And the drink combonations were crazy cool!

Before Kelly and I went swimming in the Hotel pool we were playing Hay Day on our Ipad and Iphone. Her head is on my shoulder (hope she still does that after she becomes a Mrs.) and we had a great time chatting in the pool and hot tub (she didn't want to get out!).

TUESDAY
The next day Kelly and I ran some errands and had an early lunch at Kneaders.

This Joy Of Cooking cookbook has become a tradition in my family. Kelly is the fourth generation to get one. She was very happy to get it! One of her best gifts she said. Mother knows best!

We stopped at to get some candy for the Open House in Lethbridge. I love See's Candy. Especially their lollypops!

Later in the afternoon Kelly and I walked a long ways down State Street to get to the place that Kelly set up for us to get manicures. It was alot of fun and such a treat! Perhaps Kelly and I can make another tradition.

Mother/Daughter hands! Ha!

WEDNESDAY
Kelly made her Bouquet and the Boutonniers's for Scott and Sue (Dallin's parents) and Chris and I. She did a great job. They turned out perfect!

Kelly was trying on her wedding dress and shoes for one last check to make sure she was all ready to go!

After making sure everything was ready we still needed to run to Walmart for a few last minute things for the reception and of course to have a quick lunch at MacDonalds! The 3 of us love MacDonalds!

Oh, my golly they are so cute together!

After attending the temple that evening Scott and Sue took us to to Benihana's for a nice dinner.

THURSDAY
The day before the BIG DAY.....Kelly is packing for her honeymoon to Lake Tahoe!

Looks like everything is all ready to go!!!

After  a few more errands (do errands ever really get done?) we headed over to the church in Sandy to start decorating for the reception. This is what Kelly saw when she walked in. Ahhhh....Dallin!

A bit of a story with the tablecloths but it all turned out well in the end. Nothing that a little ironing couldn't take care of.

Guess lee lee had a phone call to make amongst the flower assembling.

Almost brother in laws! Seth and Dallin. It's pretty exciting to have a new member of the family.

Kelly and Dallin made these cupcake platters to hold the cupcakes at the reception. They did a great job!

This arrangement was on each table. The theme was Vintage.

More flower making.

Scott and Sue gave Kelly and Dallin this Pistachio green Kitchen Aid....their first officail gift!

After all the decorating was complete we all went to Mo Bettah' Steaks for Hawaiian plate lunches.
Teriyaki Chicken, 2 scoops rice and macaroni salad. And don't forget the Hawaiian Sun drinks!

Here is that picture of Kelly taking my blood pressure that was suppose to be the first picture in this post. Oh well.

And here is another picture of us eating at Mo Bettah' Steaks. Thank you to the Cahoon family and daddy/grandpa for your help with the decorating!

Be on the look out for another post all about the BIG DAY!

1) love Seth's expression at Firehouse Subs.
2) yes, Kelly will always put her head on your shoulder. Michelle still does and she has been married for 10 whole months
3) is Kelly trying to become a twin with you because your spa day outfits looks a little twinsie to me.
4) Dallin and Kelly look absolutely smashing together!
5) love that you put a teaser picture of Kelly in her dress. The suspense is killing me!
6) I don't make phone calls with my leg hovering in the air. Ever.

This was a really fun post Lou Lou with some great pictures of all the festivities. Can't wait for the wedding post!

Ok Lou lou, there's so many good things about this post! The look on Chris's face when Kelly is taking his blood pressure is priceless!! Love me some Firehouse Subs...they are the best!
Kelly is a besutiful bride, and her hubby is so handsome. They are a cutsy, tootsy couple! The decorations are beautiful...I like the vintage look. How cool that Kelly made her bouquet! The cupcake plates are so unique! Did they have cupcakes instead of a cake? I may have to look into that this summer for me and Ron....hint, hint......more to come later.....

We so wanted to be with y'all for this special day... but felt we got the next best thing with these posts... what a happy day for you Lou Lou to see your daughter, where you always knew she would be... deliriously in love with the right man. They make a cute couple and we look forward to meeting Dallin this summer.

I think Chris got out of this easy... his BP I am sure was lower than David's!!!

Thanks for the awesome posts about the wedding festivities.
