Mr. Potato Head

When Caleb moved out to Richmond, B.C. he bought himself a kitten and named him Mrs. Mr. Potato Head. When Caleb took her to get fixed he was told that his kitten wasn't a "she" but a "he" so now he is known as Mr. Potato Head. When Caleb moved back home last Spring he brought Mr. Potato Head with him and now we just call him Potato. We have all fallen in love with Potato and think he is the best cat ever just like we think that Honeybear was the best dog ever!

When he first came to live with us he loved getting in the bathroom sink. Turns out that Potato just loves being around people and will follow us around the house like a dog.

                                                                   Checking out the tub.

If Chris is in the workshop, then Potato is in the workshop.

Potato is watching Chris do some reloading.

We used to let Potato stay on the kitchen table if he stayed in the dish but not anymore.

                                                       Loves taking naps with Chris.

On the bed or on the couch. It doesn't matter to Potato.

This part of the couch is "his" corner and it's is where you can find him quite a bit of the time.

At first we (mostly me) were pretty nervous about letting him outside to roam but now it's just fine. We let him out and he comes back every time. Caleb has taken the screen off of his bedroom window and lets Potato out so now when he wants to come in and no body is at the back door, Potato jumps on the roof and sits by Caleb's window. I'm sure it looks pretty funny to the neighbors.

We think this is where Potato sleeps at night.

Here he is looking up at Caleb's door handle waiting patiently for Caleb to let him in. In the mornings you can hear Potato crying and then jumping up to the door handle. One of these days Potato is going to get the surprise of his life when that handle actually turns and the door opens!

One evening he just jumped up on the card table on the finished puzzle and took a little nap.

When we are working out, Potato comes in and hangs around. He just can't miss a thing!

Now, we have never had a cat before and never thought in a million years that we would ever have a cat but as it turns out this is the year of  "never say never" so I guess it isn't surprising that our home has a cat living in it. Although we all enjoy Potato, he truly is Caleb's cat.

😻 What a fun post and what a funny cat. If only he didn't leave his hair around the house. Rio does too. 🐈
