Lee Lee gave me this fun chair for my birthday. What a great way to begin to Summer right? I love the color pink. Always have and always will.
Summer isn't summer around here unless you go to the Cardston Parade and get as much candy as you can. Never mind the little wee kids.....Lee Lee and I love catching the candy too!
After the parade we went to Wateron and hiked to Crandell Lake. Yes, Chris and I like to match where ever we go. Ha ha! There is Mark taking in the view of the lake and there is Michelle being super cute.
This is Lee Lee sticking her finger in her mouth like she is wants to gag. Not sure why though because if I was in this canoe with this man I would be one happy woman! I mean just look at that lean arm!
Here is daddy shooting one of Chris' pistols at the gun range here in Lethbridge. This is second nature for daddy and it's because of him that Chris is also into shooting and reloading.
This isn't second nature to me but I go once in awhile for a little fun. Shooting gophers in the wild is way more fun!

This picture was taken from Katepwa beach in Saskatchewan looking towards the point of land where our family has been visiting the MacPherson family for years and years and years. If you look close you can see a little white square and if you look to the left of that where the dark trees end that is where the MacPherson's cottages are and that is where our family has been visiting for years and years and years!
Paddle boarding around the other side of that point.
Chris tries to help out at the MacPherson's cottage however he can so here he is prepping this spot for a pad of cement. This is the boat house.
The biggest rabbit I have ever seen in my life. This picture doesn't even do justice to that fact but take it from me it's huge! (This rabbit is where Aura Lee MacPherson keeps her horse)
Before we left the cottage Chris cleaned my car. Can you covet something that you already own? I. Love. My. Car!!
A highlight of my summer was seeing my good friend Mary. I met Mary almost 26 years ago when we lived in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia and Sean was just a little baby. We talk on the phone every Christmas and even though it had been over 22 years since we had last seen each other we had the best time together!! She is one in a million.
I love huckleberries and every year at Castle Mountain they have a huckleberry festival and open up the chair lift so you can get to the mountain to pick as many berries as you can! Dixie joined us this year.
Awesome view right? Lee Lee was a "little" nervous on the way up the mountain so Dixie and I couldn't tell any stories about heights or anything and I have to admit it was a bit of a Debbie Downer. Dixie and I just wanted to enjoy the ride but no......
Anyway, we got to the top and this is what we picked! The bushes aren't like blueberry bushes or raspberry bushes at all. They are scruffy short little "bushes" with very few berries on them so the picking is slow. But soooooo worth it. I love huckleberries almost as much as I love my car!
We had much more fun on the way down the mountain!
