Victoria, British Columbia In September

Chris had a conference in Victoria and so of course I wanted to tag along! So instead of Chris flying there with others from the University we decided to drive there and make it a vacation. Sean has been living on the Island for about 5 years now so we don't get to see him very often and this was our chance. We stayed at a very nice hotel on the water (Thank you University of Lethbridge).

The first day before Chris had to actually attend his conference we took a long walk out to the water  (I can't remember the name) and at the end was a lighthouse. It was spectacular and as you can see there was not a cloud in the sky!

After our walk we went to the Craigdarroch Castle which was built in 1890. Very cool place to visit! You'll have to "google" it to learn more about it's history.

                                                                           Father and son!

This a heritage Tudor Mansion which was built in the 1930's but now is Abigail's Hotel. It's a Romantic bed and breakfast that has only 23 rooms (every room is unique and different) and this is where Sean worked for a almost three years. I'll just let the pictures below speak for themselves. The picture of the origami though is the front desk where Sean and some of the guests have made some cool things.

This is the dining room where the food is prepared by a chef.

Sean and I at the beach but I can't remember the name of it.  Anyway, it was another great day and what better way to spend time together than at a beach!
My good friend from back in our Regina days also lives in Nanaimo (on the island) and was nice enough to drive to Victoria for the day. It was great hanging out with Sean and Jo-Ann together!

Here are Sean and Andrea putting racks on the back of their bikes. They live in a very cool house.

                                                              Also Sean's very cool sandle's!

Sean and Andrea and Chris and I at a restaurant called Glo.
Our time there was great and guess what?  Sean and Andrea are coming home for Christmas!!!!!

Sean's sandals are very cool, but are they comfortable?

Mark and I have GOT to get out to BC. I guess we need to head west instead go south one of these days. Your BC posts make BC look so fun and interesting

Perfect post for winter because you so forget what warm nice weather is so very quickly.
