The Reception In Sandy, Utah

Kelly did a great job creating her wedding reception. She wanted a vintage flair and with the help of Dallin they totally pulled it off! We gave her a chunk of money to spend however she chose and if there was left over money she could pocket it. She pocketed some. Smart girl!
They chose to go the simple route with a simple and pleasant reception. No cake and no program.
They had cupcakes (chocolate coconut, red velvet, vanilla and strawberry)  and milk (chocolate, strawberry and plain white) for thier guests and it was yummy!
The center pieces for the tables were fun to create. Kelly and Dallin painted old canning jars and then decorated them while Lee Lee and I scoured all of Lethbridge at every single second hand stores for doillies and pearls. The flowers in the jars were made our of coffee filters.

This was before the reception began. Kelly and Dallin had gone to thier favorite place for dinner. Cafe' Rio.  They were famished after all the picture taking at the temple!

Jordan (Michelle's new husband of 10 months), daddy/grandpa, Brad and Seth.

Friends of Kelly from home who are attending BYU-Provo. She was so happy to see them. Jeffery and Jonny.

                                                                 Our cousin Megan!

Jill and Bret from way back in the day. Long story and a cool story.

Melanie and Michelle from way back at our Weber State days. Two sets of twins can you believe that?  It had been almost 35 years since we last saw each other!

                                                                Michelle and Grandpa.

Kelly and Kayla.  A roommate of Kelly's from her BYU-Idaho days.

After this reception and Kelly and Dallin's honeymoon at Lake Tahoe in California they had an open house in Modesto, California a week later and then a week after that an open house in Lethbridge, Alberta. Busy and fun!!

I have NEVER seen Kelly as happy as she is. She has had a permanent smile on her face since the day she met Dallin!

My Kids!

Look at them all!! It was a REAL TREAT to have all of the kids home together again....it had been far too long and that is for sure! Sean and Caleb drove from Victoria, Vancouver Island/Richmond B.C. in a very bad storm and just minutes from home while Caleb was asleep Sean did a 360 on the highway and in the midst of it Caleb woke up, put the car in neutral and they stopped a foot from the ditch!! They arrived home at 1:45am and I was one happy momma!! Although I have to admit I got my boys mixed when they walked in the door. They are both sporting beards and mustaches and they both had hats on.

We only had 2 days to enjoy everyone together so we made the best of it. After such a long trip Sean was very kind to let me play my ukelele and sing for him after getting only a few hours of sleep. He just sat there on the couch song after song. Thanks Sean for humouring me! That afternoon we had family pictures taken outside with the clear blue sky as our backdrop. Never mind the frigid air. Brrrrr. This is the first time we have had a professional photographer take our family picture. After the photo session we went to Moxie's for dinner and then home to get ready for Dallin and Kelly's open house. On Saturday we went out to our friend Dixie's land to shoot gophers. Its ALWAYS a fun time! Sadly Caleb wasn't able to join us because he wasn't feeling well.

Dinner at Moxie's with the entire family. Including of course our newest family member!

                                                                     New brother in laws!

Had to take my Red Dot Scope off my gun because I couldn't see the red dot with the brightness of the snow! I'm a better shot with my Red Dot Scope. :)

This is Dallin and Chris. Chris is throwing a clay pidgeon while Dallin shoots them to smithereens and Dallin did great job I might add!

I'm pretty sure that Sean had the best time of all that day. He wandered off by himself and made a collection of his kills. I love seeing my kids happy!!

This last picture is a pretty big deal. It's a little hard to read but very important non the less! I measured all the boys height and Seth won! He has always wanted to be the tallest in the family and his wish has come true. Pretty sure he would tell you that this was the highlight of having his brothers home!

See how well Dallin fits into his new family? His shoe size even meshes with the family. Ha!

Mr. and Mrs. Walker

This is the blog post where our only daughter goes from being Kelly Eagan to becoming Kelly Walker.

On the morning of Kelly's wedding we added a couple more flowers to her bouquet with a teeny tiny glue gun.

Chris and Seth dropped us off while they found a parking place.

And this is where Kelly turned from being an Eagan to becoming a Walker. The Salt Lake Temple.

Walking out the door for the first time as Mr. and Mrs. Walker!!

I'm pretty sure they are saying in their minds, "Yes, we did it"!

First public kiss as Mr. and Mrs.!

The rest of the pictures are self explanitory. We sure missed having Sean and Caleb with us though, but so happy the Cahoon Family (we missed Laurel~on a mission), and daddy could join us. Enjoy the rest of the pictures!
